Rain Gain

Happiness in small things.

I was too young when I saw this film but it left a lasting mark in my psyche.

Whenever it is raining, like now, I want to go out and soak myself wet. I might not be a Gene Kelly (obviously because I cannot dance) but that will not stop me from jumping up and down. πŸ˜€

  1. Great movie! I think my favorite movie was The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. It made me want to live in a haunted house by the ocean. πŸ™‚

    1. Yes, that was fun movie to watch, even as a kid. (I did not know what they were saying then but the dancing hooked me in.) πŸ˜€
If I was given the chance to be in a movie, I would choose E.T. I would try to console the young Drew Barrymore. πŸ˜€

      1. It’s funny because I listen to QXR radio, this classical music radio station and they always play the E.T. theme music in one of their commercials for their station. Whenever I hear it, I always think of the scene where they kids on the bikes start flying together in the moonlight. Best scene ever! I think that might be every kid’s dream. I need an E.T. for my bike.

      2. The soundtrack added magic to the film. Drew Barrymore as a child could really make people cry.
One of the best films in my book. πŸ™‚

      3. She could. It’s amazing how some people are just born with a presence. She’s one of those kind of people.

  2. One of the ultimate dance scenes in all of cinema – all of the arts really. and what is priceless (in my eyes) is his purely genuine smile. he loved dancing.

    1. When I was young, the local TV screened old American films. Jerry Lewis was one of my favorites. Of course, The Three Stooges gave me hours of fun.
